Riding in Style.

So...I think we book our wedding-day transportation for us and our bridal party. And yes, that statement is a little uncertain because we kind of did it on a whim.

We've been playing phone/e-mail tag with one particular limousine company for several weeks now. It's the company that's a hands-down favorite of almost all of our vendors so far, from our reception venue to our photographer. At the last monthly food tasting event at our reception venue, this company had a vehicle on-site that Fiance and I both loved and that would accommodate our large(r) bridal party.

Fiance and the company's reservations manager were finally able to make contact yesterday. To our dismay, we learned that the company already has many of their vehicles booked for our date, even though it's just under a year away. The vehicle that we wanted actually had been booked and in the past day had become available again because the couple decided to upgrade to a party bus (haha).

Serendipitous timing? Perhaps. The only catch was that if we wanted to reserve the vehicle for our [apparently] sought-after date, we pretty much had to put down a deposit on it then and there. So we did.

Luckily, this company has an amazing refund policy—for consumers, anyway. Our on-a-whim deposit is fully refundable up until 30 days prior to our wedding. So we can still comparison shop. In other words, I don't need to panic.

Without the need to panic, I'm getting excited about the prospect cruising in style with all of our bridesmaids and groomsmen on the wedding day!

Do you have any experience with wedding-day limos and such?

7 love notes:

  1. No, because our ceremony and reception were at the same venue.

HOWEVER, since the wedding was 3 hours away, we did hire a nice 45-person charter bus to get family and guests from Cancun to the wedding.

Is that your limo?? I love it!

  3. Thanks, Gringa! That isn't a photo of our exact limo, but it's pretty close. We're getting (as of now, at least) a white strech SUV (not a Hummer).

    Kristin: Hahahaha.

  4. Our ceremony and reception were at the same location so everyone just drove their own cars...but it sounds like fun that all of you will be together in a limo...party time! :) Thats so cool that the limo became unbooked!

  6. We have six bridesmaids and six groomsmen, so with us that's 14 people total. We figured life would be easier (and more fun!) for everyone if we could provide transportation around town for photos and then to the ceremony and the reception. I'm hoping this works out!

  7. Congrats on finding someone who's easy to work with. We had such a terrible time - we went through 3 limo companies and now 2 trolley companies... it's insane.

I thrive off your comments. They make my whole entire day. And I usually return the favor (hint, hint).
